How we handle your information.

What we collect

When you use the hosted audit, we process the business you select, search keywords, audit area and radius, and any name, email address or phone number you provide. The manual audit request and contact forms collect the business and contact details you enter, such as your business name, website, city, trade, main service and email address. We do not ask for payment details to run the free audit.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your request, prepare your audit and follow up about the services you asked about. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Consent

We use the details you submit to handle your audit or enquiry and respond about that request. Any separate marketing consent on the hosted audit is optional and is not required to view an audit. Booking a review call is also optional. You can ask us to stop following up at any time by emailing joseph@thejclabs.com and we will stop contacting you and delete your details on request.

Service providers

We use a small number of tools to run this website. Vercel hosts the site. Ghost runs the blog. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager measure traffic. Merchynt (Paige) processes the hosted business audit, report and lead details on our behalf. Deftform stores contact and Nearmotive beta requests. Form and email services deliver audit, contact and beta requests to our inbox. If you choose to book a review, TidyCal processes the booking details you provide. These providers process data so the site and audit work and so we can respond to you.

Cookies and consent

This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand page use and enquiries. Tags follow your consent choice. Before you accept, or if you decline, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics and advertising storage denied; limited cookie-free measurement pings may still be sent to Google. Accepting enables the measurement allowed by that choice. You can also control cookies in your browser without losing access to the site.

Nearmotive beta requests

The JC Labs handles requests for Nearmotive Plus beta access. The interest form collects your name, email and any business details or goals you choose to share. Deftform stores the request and sends a notification to Joseph so he can reply about beta access. This does not create an account, grant Plus access or subscribe you to a marketing list.

Starting with Nearmotive

The Nearmotive links on this website open its separate account and profile workspace. Before you create an account or connect Google, review Nearmotive’s Privacy Policy and Terms. Creating a Nearmotive account does not submit the audit or contact form on this website.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the work. You can ask us to delete your details whenever you want.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email joseph@thejclabs.com and we will action it within a reasonable time.
